Genital Herpes Outbreak question

I was diagnosed in 2010, the first guy I ever slept with had it and didn't tell me. I've been on the same meds ever since and take them daily to help with outbreaks. Usually when I get one, it's one sore and in the same spot. This time it's a cluster of 5 (sorry if TMI) in a different spot with lower pelvic pain. Has anyone ever had their outbreaks be different all of a sudden? Normally I only outbreak once or twice a year and now I've had 2 in 3 months on daily medication.
