Spit Up/ Reflux?
So my baby girl is now 5 weeks old and she spits up so forcefully that it comes out of her nose. We have to suction her nose at least twice a day, which makes her scream bloody murder. When she was born the doctors kept us in the hospital because they were not comfortable letting us check out with how much she was spitting up.
The first few weeks of life she couldn’t gain weight and it has been a struggle. We are doing all the things to help her but im starting to lose hope.
We
-Heat her bottle to 110 degrees(ideal temp for reflux babies)
-Use reflux specific bottles
-Burp her frequently during feeds (every .25-.75 oz)
-Feed her in a mostly upright position
-try to keep her calm(stress is a trigger)
-keep her upright after feeding for 30-40 mins….
Am I missing something? How else can I help her?!
