Teething or the flu?

My baby has had a very running nose and congestion the whole day, he has also started teething recently. I’m not sure if this is just the flu or a symptom of teething? Anything I can do to help him? Thanks!

My pediatrician always says teething causes teeth and a lot of parents miss actual sickness because they think everything is because of teething. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I have even read a story on here of a mom thinking her kids diarrhea and fever was from teething only to find her baby had a serious stomach infection. In no way saying this to scare you. It sounds like your baby may just have some congestion. I’m saying this as advice for the future because everyone seems to relate everything to teething even serious symptoms (fever, diarrhea, vomiting, fussiness, pain) If you are concerned always ask your pediatrician to be safe 🥰 it never hurts to ask.
