Weird TMI question?

Hey mamas. I actually have a (maybe tmi, awkward) question? I’m 36 weeks (FTM) and have been experiencing preterm labor symptoms on and off since 34 weeks. My last cervical check (Thursday) I was 1cm and 80% effaced. Baby stationed at -1. Doctor said she could feel baby’s head. She okay’d intimacy for my husband and I- however last night during foreplay my husband said he swore he touched baby’s head with his finger. Is this something that’s possible at this point, could it be “bulging waters”, my cervix, baby’s head, anything else? Lol it freaked us both out a little and needless to say he won’t even think about internal intimacy anymore lmao. I have been having inconsistent contractions for weeks now and I feel some cramping today but baby is very active. Nothing feels different just wondering what he could have felt. Obviously baby is low literally feels like I’m walking with a bowling ball between my legs and sitting on my bladder lmao.
