Tonsillectomy
Hey everyone! I'm 30 years old and just had my tonsils/adenoids removed last Thursday. Was told it was worse on adults than it is on children (no lies detected)... so I was wondering how some of your experiences were with the surgery and recovery as an adult??
My experience has absolutely SUCKED. The surgery went fine. But this recovery has been pure hell. I'm on day 9 with NO relief in sight. I had 2 emergency Dr visits this week for bleeding, which is not normal. If it happens again, I'll possibly have to go back into surgery to get cauterized again. I'm praying that's not the case. The dr said bleeding happens to about 3 out of 100 people, go figure. I'm so miserable. This pain is no joke. Starting to regret having this done, but keep telling myself that it will all be worth it in the end. I used to get tonsillitis pretty often, so this surgery been needing to be done.
Has anyone had this surgery before? Let me know your experiences!
