My sister just offered me a 100k a year job, in a job I’d love, not gonna be dramatic and say it would be my dream job, but it’s one Iv done before and would love to do again. My boyfriend has done the job before and hated it. He currently makes 50k a year and I make just under 20k

The job is managing a fast food restaurant, my boyfriend and I met while serving and he now works a factory job and says he’ll never work food or customer service again. I work retail now and it’s ok, we both lost our jobs last year and had to start over.

My sister lives 2 hours from us, and we would obviously have to move. My family is out by my sister and my boyfriends family is out here.

My boyfriend also has five kids with his first wife and they live down the street from us.

My boyfriend said No

That he wouldn’t move away from his kids and he wouldn’t go back to food service, so just tell my sister no, no discussion.

I understand and respect his reasoning and will be telling my sister no in the morning

But y’all I am heartbroken. I woulda loved this opportunity
