High needs baby and independent sleep

So my son has always been very high needs since the day he was born. He’s breastfed, we bedshare, and he’s basically attached to my hip all day and night. He just turned a year old last week. I guess my question would be for those of you who used to bedshare/Cosleep, at what point did your child feel comfortable sleeping on their own through the night? I honestly love having my son sleep next to us, I have no issues whatsoever, we do it safely. My “issue” here is that my husband and I both want more children but I feel it will be too difficult/stressful while my son still sleeps with us. I also firmly believe that independent sleep is developmental, I’m just curious as to when other children started to sleep on their own (with NO sleep “training” involved).

I hope this makes sense and I hope someone can shed some light on their situation as well.
