Extremely emotional

I know this isn’t a therapy app but I just need to understand why I do this. So I’ll just randomly start crying while on FaceTime with my boyfriend, and he’ll ask what’s wrong. I’ll say “nothing” or “idk” because I truly don’t know. I then start profusely apologizing hope that if I apologize I’ll feel better? Or maybe because I feel like I’m bothering him?
