Hand Expressing of Colostrum

So I have been advised by my hospital to start hand expressing colostrum this week (I’m 36 1/2 weeks). I believe they get everyone to do it, just in case it is needed while breast milk comes in. I managed to get 0.6ml yesterday after 2 sessions. Today I got 0.5ml after just the first session!

Seeing that I’m booked in for a C-Section at 39 weeks I’m keen to get as much as I safely can as I have been told that milk can take longer to come in after a C-Section. Anyone else doing this? Am I being silly with wanting to have as much as possible?
