Do you let your child/children have relationships with family members/inlaws who don’t treat you well/have a healthy relationship with you?

My in laws think having a healthy relationship with me isn’t a requirement to be involved in my daughters life regularly. I disagree!

Yes....but VERY limited and VERY controlled. 
I am present for all interactions and within earshot at all times to mitigate and monitor the situation at hand. This makes it impossible for them to taint, poison or confuse.

This is definitely situational for me and depends on why I don't have a healthy relationship with said person. If it came down to that person saying toxic things to my child or our issues being extreme, I wouldn't let my child have a relationship with them. I'd they're petty problems and disagreements but everyone can be civil and the toxicity doesn't reach my child, it would be a limited relationship.

Nope. I have several aunts and a grandmother I no longer speak to and they no longer have access to my daughter. They’re all super toxic and did so much crap to me during my childhood or just stood by and watched that I’m still healing from now. I will never subject my daughter to that type of cruelty.

my dad has no access to my kids at all. he didn't wanna raise me then he doesn't get to watch my kids grow up.

Idk how other ppl do it staying present during visits. But my in laws have something smart to say about me. And hate me so NOOO. My children are not around them. I’ve tried to take the high road and be present when they’re around my kids but they disrespect me by doing things I’ve asked them not to do with my kids, and I my MIL has a mental illness that she really doesn’t think straight and has done some crazy things around my daughter. And my husbands dad is always on drugs so nah.

Just because they don't love you doesn't mean you should hold love away from your child.
Just always be present during visits.

No, but I don't have any close family that treats me awfully either. But if I had an issue with the in laws I would probably discuss it with my husband.

I do. As long as they treat my daughter well they can chill. Im Just not going playing happy family with them. I meet, drop her off and pick her up when they're done. They treat her well and she deserves to know her inlaws.
