Getting a blood test to confirm?

Hello All, 
I have that gotten my positive pregnancy test, it was faint lines starting last week and now are full positive results. I just moved to a new state so forgive my question. Should I get the blood test at a GP or find myself an OBGYN and get the test there? I don’t have a dr in my new location and last time I was much later in my pregnancy so I just went to an obgyn,

Typically you don’t need bloodwork to confirm unless you have a history of miscarriages. But for a standard, low risk pregnancy it’s really not necessary

I never got bloodwork to confirm pregnancy in either of my pregnancies. This is more common in high risk pregnancies, but typically not done unless there is a concern

My midwife didn’t do a blood test to confirm pregnancy but did a blood test to check for progesterone per the recommendation of their partner OB who saw me before I got pregnant (I have PCOS and had a prior miscarriage). I had my levels checked at 6 weeks and 7 weeks. 
But when I got my positive urine test, they just scheduled my first appointment for 9 weeks and that was that. I specifically requested the blood test be done. If you have a definitely positive test and no health concerns, there’s not a real reason to automatically confirm with a blood test.
