How would you take this? 🤔

So me and my child’s father has ended things for good, but it has unfortunately started getting really ugly between us. I’m 33 weeks pregnant. My ex is a physician and referred me to one of the best OBs in the area who I have been seeing since finding out I was pregnant.

Anyways, since drama has started with my ex, I told my OB if he texted him asking about my care, that I did not give my consent and will have him removed from my records. He agreed and said no problem. He then asks me, can I ask what is going on between y’all? I explained that it was a lot of drama that I really did not want to get into, but long story short we were not together and it was becoming legal so that’s why I wanted him off. He apologized for my hardship. Then he turned to me and said, Man,…I just want to let you know I have always thought you were a very attractive woman, even pregnant. It was a little awkward but I thanked him and smiled. I told him I try to get up and motivated to get ready when I can since I’ve been depressed with my situation. He told me he’s always thought that about me ever since I started coming to see him.

Do you think he was just being nice to make me feel better? My friend keeps saying it’s just a weird comment to make but I’m not sure if he was trying to boost my ego since I am going through a hard time.
