Today is my birthday I turned 22. I am so blessed for the family I have. I went to my parents my mom cooked for me, spent time time my parents and brother, cut a cake, and just spend the afternoon with my family .. For me it’s about spending my special day with people who love me and care for me… and because I was so happy with my family the day went by soooo fast I feel like I just woke up lol

I'm the opposite, I HATE being around anyone but my husband for my birthday, I HATE opening gifts, I HATE birthday cake, I HATE my birthday! 
The only time I don't, is when it's me and my husband, and we are just together, relaxed, doing nothing special (preferably in PJ's, cause they are the best).
However, on everyone else's birthday, I make a HUGE fuss, and try and make it extra special in every way. So, it's not that I dislike birthdays, for me, it's just any attention on me. It's the same at Christmas when people give me gifts, it makes me die inside... however, I spend ages trying to give everyone else a lovely Christmas!
I think what people appear to like is more about their personality, rather than a set rule or method. Everyone has their own idea of perfection and happiness. It is great that you know your ideal, and feel comfortable expressing what you like and then really enjoying it.
