Who comes first?

Okay ladies, let’s have a healthy debate. Who comes first? Your significant other, your kids, or god? For me, my son comes second to no one, and it will always remain that way. The reason I’m posting this is because someone in one of my FB groups says for her it’s god, husband, then kids. And I can not for the life of me understand that. I’m personally pagan, but regardless of that, my son comes first always. What comes first for you, and why?

The fact that anyone would put their partner or their religion over their kid is bananas. They rely on us to care for them and keep them safe. That’s number one. Period.

My son comes first, period. My husband and I can take care of ourselves and can properly prioritize our own needs. Our son is 100% reliant on us to take care of him. His needs will always come first.
That being said, just because our son comes first doesn’t mean that my husband isn’t a priority. He and I both agree that no matter what’s going on with us, we put everything aside for our boy. But we still make time for each other. We talk to each other about how we’re feeling, what we need, what we want so that we can continue to have a good relationship. We talk about problems when they arise and work on solutions. We love each other. 
Religion isn’t a factor in our life, but we do prioritize our own health (physical and mental) when it’s needed. Because you can’t take care of anyone else if you’re neglecting yourself. But when it comes down to I eat or my child eats, I’ll go hungry to make sure they always have a full belly.

I hate questions like this because they lack so much context. Like is my house on fire? Obviously I'll save the kids and dogs and assume my grown ass adult husband can get himself out on his own.

For me, it depends. My baby depends on me far more obviously, so she's higher priority in terms of making sure her day to day needs are met, but ultimately the connection between my partner and I is top priority in the household. Because I feel like the parents' bond is the foundation of the household

I don’t care how others choose to prioritize their lives, but for me, my children are my greatest priority. My husband feels the same.

Family comes first, when the family is in balance then everybody is happy. When you give in too much for your kid, that extra frustration somehow comes back in the family.
So the key is to ensure that the whole fam is happy.

I find these kind of questions so silly to be honest. I don’t think people have to love one over another. The love between parent and child is very different from the love between spouses, as is the love people feel for God. Why does it have to be a competition?

God is the center of everything else so not in a different box. Husband then kids because that’s how it’s intended, but it doesn’t mean I wouldn’t give my own life for my kids. It mainly means I prioritize my marriage, and this showing my kids what that looks like
