Help please

So ive been on junel fe 1/20 since march. I've previously been on lo loestrine for about 2.5 years. The day before i started my inactive pills i had sex with no condom and we went multiple rounds. I started the inactive pills sunday and i normally get my period wednesday. Today when i wipe i get a faint brown color. Im not sure if it is the start of my period or if i could be pregnant. I take my pills everyday never missed one and i take them around the same time. I take them when i wake up( sometimes its later sometimes its early). I also have PCOS im not sure if that would be an account for something. Thats the reason im on birth control. Im just not sure what to think as in if im pregnant or not? Also if i miss my period then when should be the best time to take a test?
