Anyone use cornstarch for baby bum rash?

My poor daughter is in so much pain. This is going on day 3. My grandmother told me to put cornstarch on her that it worked on my mom and myself when we were babies that her doctor recommended it. 
But I know times change. So I’m wondering if anyone has and if it’s safe to do so?

I've used it and yes it is safe and works. I got stuck in a deep snow with no other option for my son. It helped so much he was good in a day or so. Just do a light dusting of it and avoid getting it inside her little vagina.

Yes! I used it on my boys! I also would put that or baking soda in their bath water to help also

It depends on the type of rash. If it's just irritation from wetness it can help dry out the area. If it's a yeast based rash or can make it worse

I wouldn’t swear on it but I believe that’s fine if she needs it. I used aquaphor on my girl and that always helped. I used it often, not just when she had a rash but as a preventative too. I used it 2-3 times a day to help prevent.

I haven’t had my baby yet. But my older sister in her early 30s uses cornstarch still on her kids and has told me it definitely works I’ll be using if needed
