What did you experience when you stopped breastfeeding?

I am slowly weaning my 18 month old and just about ready to stop nursing completely.  I'm anxious about hormones and mood swings and saggy, deflated boobs (I'm a full D so I assume there will be sagging).
What were your experiences when you stopped?  How long did any side effects last?  Was it hard for you?

I had no side effects besides feeling full when I stopped. A few days into it I got sad and felt I would regret stopping but I stuck to it and the feelings went away. I too stopped at 18 months pp.

Literally no side effects. My toddler was 18 months when he self weaned. He was nursing every morning, evening and some weekends. One night he just turned away and never asked for it again. I had no engorgement, nothing. My boobs went back to a D, little bit of sagging but they are fake so I think that was expected.
