❗❗Update❗❗ Corporal Punishment

𝓘𝓷

UPDATE!: I was on the phone practically all day yesterday with different administrators, schools, and their main office for the school district!! I had several call backs to go over their plan of discipline (for parents who opt into this) and I can say that I am relieved because it 'appears' that corporal punishment is an option.... it hasn't been used....

Okay, I just purchased my first home and moving at the end of the month. I am currently working on enrolling my 7 year old into the nearby elementary school.

I've never seen this form before and concerned for 2 reasons: This area is up and coming...therefore there are not many black families advertised in the local businesses or schools (it was cheaper to build a home and this area accepted my contract first) secondly, (and mainly) that the school may decide to discipline my child (or another child) despite the form declining them to-do so in such a way.

My questions are: has anyone seen this form before?? If so, have you faced issues with corporal punishment being reintroduced to schools? Lastly, are my fears rational?

Thanks
