🤬 Rabid Antivaxx “Protesters”

I took my 5 y/o to a vaccine clinic last night that was put on by our school system. It was specifically for children 5-11 years old. My 3 y/o came along because my husband was not home from work yet.

5 y/o, 3 y/o and myself were mere feet from the doors when this older woman approached us asking if I was a parent (no shit) and purporting to be a nurse practitioner. She shoves her antivaxx propaganda into my hands and starts TALKING TO MY KIDS about how “the vaccine has killed x number of kids.” 🤬

IDGAF if you choose not to vaccinate or be vaccinated. I will disassociate even if you are family, but the choice is yours. But DON’T you DARE start trying to intimidate and make my kids fearful of my decisions to keep them safe. She’s lucky I was there alone with them; if I had another adult to send them inside with I would have GONE OFF on her.

I guess later in the evening they started accosting cars as they drove in, banging on them and yelling at parents and children. Police were called multiple times but from what I can tell no action was taken.

The good news is that my 5 y/o took his shot like a champ! He was so proud of himself that we had to transfer his sticker from last night’s shirt to today’s shirt so that he could wear it to school. He is a superhero and doing his best to keep himself and others safe!
