Baby boy keeps peeing through diapers???

My baby is about 3 weeks old. He was born at 9lb 8oz and I imagine he’s Atleast 10 lbs now. We use size one diapers and it fits him well. He eats 4 oz at a time and sometime 5. My pediatrician said this was fine cause he’s a bigger baby. But I notice at night moreso he gets up every 3 hours and he’s SOAKED. I don’t have much of a problem during the day but sometimes. Any idea on how to make this stop??

At that weight, I don’t think it’s an issue with the diaper sizing. Are you making sure to point his penis down when diapering? I feel like when babes are still really young, their penises are so sneaky and can pop back up if you’re not careful 😂 I would point it down, close one side of the diaper, peek in the other side to make sure it was still down, then close the other side.

Put him in overnight diapers that are a size bigger

Make sure his penis is pointing down between his legs and not up. It makes a huge difference

Try a different brand. I was having the same problem with pampers but switched to huggies and no longer an issue

Try going up a size always makes my kids diapers stop leaking even if they seem big.

I hate Huggies personally and they always feel soaked and to me they stink the moment they get pee in them. I like Costco brand the most but pampers are okay too

My son did this too. If your pediatrician feels nothing is wrong I’d change diapers and see if that helps

Point penis down + fold in the top of diaper (by belly button fold toward body) provides one more extra layer.

Anytime we’ve had leaking like that with our boys we’ve had to up the size! And when they were little we changed the nappy each time we fed regardless of day or night. Maybe try a different brand too - it never hurts to test out a few ☺️
