What do you do when you find out the father of your children is an addict??

So 7yrs in this relationship 2 beautiful kids and one on the way 9wks pregnant I find alcohol hidden under clothes, testosterone niddles hidden on top of furniture along with tsch cookies..:(

I’m just numb trying to make sense of any of this, we’re not legally married (which now I understand why bc I’m 100% against drugs & alcohol) and we depend on him financially I’m a sahm… I don’t know what to do or where to turn any advice welcomed ty.

Ps. We live in NJ and it’s a pretty 50/50 state when it comes to custody..I can’t imagine leaving my girls for overnights with an addict but the law doesn’t care much about that..according to the lawyer- weed/alcohol even cocaine is considered something ppl do at night when the kids are asleep so the judge doesn’t consider it a threat to minors 😳

Hi- about how I didn’t I notice it before- the Covid lock down sort of brought all to the surface, I’ve pretty much single momed it all this time he was gone at work 7-8 when he’d come home I’d be too occupied putting the kids to bed etc so it’s not that we had much face-time he’d have mood swings which he’d always turn around and blame me for. After the 2nd kid he no longer slept with me in the same room bc of nursing and his sleep being disturbed since he’d had to go to work… I never until recently went in detective mode because of lack of time honestly now that the kids are in school I have a 4hr gap where I’ve gone in his room and snooped mostly I couldn’t explain this ladder in his closet (he’s 6.1ft) so I opened it and climbed on there on top of the closet was the evidence…:(
