Cold and going out?!?

For the past 3 weeks its been in the lows 40s and im wondering if you mommies are taking your babies out?!? My baby is 10 months and im just like is waaaay too cold for her and I don’t want her to get sick but then i want to take her out to see the Christmas lights, the trees, etc…

Cold weather doesn't cause colds. Germs cause colds/illnesses. As long as babe is bundled up and warm 40 degree weather will be fine. We went out to see the boat parade two weekends ago and it was 27 degrees. A nice warm jacket, a hat, and some warm gloves kept her nice and warm and she was fine

It was -5 Celsius here today (low 20s Fahrenheit) and I took my 14 month old out for about 45 mins or so. At the temperatures you’re talking about I would let her stay out for like up to 2 hours if she was enjoying herself 🤷🏻‍♀️ Just make sure they are dressed appropriately. Layers are key!

I haven’t this year but last year I took my girls out to the zoo lights and we have a beautiful botanical garden that does lights too. I just make sure they are bundled up with warm clothes, hats and gloves. Fresh air is good for them even if it’s cold.

My son is older but even last year when he was around that age I took him out in that cold of weather! We just bundled up and didn’t stay out toooo long but I think 10 months is plenty old enough to take outside occasionally to make some fun memories!
