how to tell my bf i have a yeast infection

so last night me and my man were just starting to get into having sex and he looked down and saw clumpy dishrags and asked me what it was and seemed a little weird by it and i told him i wasn’t sure so we stopped, cleaned up and just went to bed. i ended up researching and figuring out it was a yeast infection since i’ve had one before i just never had sex on one to really notice the discharge not just in my underwear. anyway my question is should i tell my bf i have a YI? i almost feel like he thinks i’m cheating on him (which i’m not) but what could i even say? or do i just treat this with the monistat im using and let it take its course and act like nothing happened!
