Newly Engaged

Dont drag me, this is a genuine question/opinion.. I just got engaged on Christmas and joined a group in fb for ideas and what not. I keep seeing some women post about how they need more favors/gifts for the guests, I planned on doing one or 2 small things... I get that this might sound incredibly selfish but I don't get it? It's the day I get to marry my best friend and I just want to enjoy it and have people there who support us.. I don't feel like I need to spend a bunch money on things for them to take home or that they will probably forget..
