It’s war between my baby daddy and I he lets my 4&5yo girls use his VR, of course they love it and  expect it every day. I think it’s highly inappropriate for their age and bad for their eyes! If you have this can you leave your opinion please I don’t want to raise zombies!! Ty

Noooo. I don’t think so. Keep them here, in the now, in this most interesting life. Try to spark curiosity about the real world, not VR games.

It’s not just bad for their eyes. It’s bad for their brains. When in VR your brain has to work differently. Talk to the pediatrician to back you up. There are actual studies and recommendations for the minimum age to use VR headsets. Even adults are advised to limit their blocks of time spent in VR.

Our VR headset came with a warning saying not to use let children under a specific age use it. We don't have kids so I didn't pay attention but I'm very certain 4 and 5 are too young. I'd suggest checking the manual yours came with for solid proof that they're too young

Video games in general are fine in moderation and don’t make children (or anyone) into “zombies.” 
I played Mario at 5 years old with my brothers, I don’t see an issue with VR as long as the GAME itself is age appropriate. A 4 and 5 year old don’t need to be killing zombies lol but I see nothing wrong with enhancing gaming experiences. Sure, don’t let them play it all day, every day. But a little bit throughout the week or more on the weekends isn’t going to do any harm. Let them enjoy themselves!

The first 5 years of development set up how children will respond to stress- as well as perceive the world- for the rest of their lives. Integration of Virtual Reality at this age will likely cause psychological issues like depersonalization and derealization later on. For example, when under stress their first reaction may be "this isn't real it's just a game" which can mess you up psychologically.

No absolutely not. Please let your kids be kids. We do almost 0 technology for them besides occasionally a family movie or letting them watch a few episodes of bluey or mouse cookie.
It changes so much of how their brain grows and works. VR is way too far.

Meant to hit no.. I’m all in for video games and screen time but the VR is something I’m not a fan of at all.
