Is 4-5 days a lot without seeing your parents (read below) ?

Question

So we rent with my husbands family for now (looking to move out this year).
My parents live 20-25 min away. Me and my husband both work. And I don’t drive.
So we visit my family 2 times a week and every 2 weeks 3 times. 
This upcoming week it’s my dads birthday on Thursday and on Saturday we’ll be celebrating and spending the night over.
This upcoming week we were supposed to go 2 days only so I told him if we could either switch this week to go Tuesday, Thursday and weekend or instead of going Wednesday go on Thursday, he said let’s just go Thursday instead of Wednesday. (And we are going today)
Thinking that I won’t be going in 5 days makes me upset 😢 btw my husband says he does like going to my parents and all.

This is an awful lot of anxiety about simply not seeing your parents an extra day this week? If it bothers you that much, you should learn to drive and get your license so you can see them when you feel like it.

I haven’t seen my parents in 4 years. My husband hasn’t seen his dad in 5 years and it’s been months since he saw his mom.

I see my parents once every couple of months, mainly for holidays and birthdays only. And we live 20-25 mins away as well.

Well, my parents live in another state so I see them about three/four times a year. We’ve planning on moving closer, but even then I would probably only see them maybe once a week or every other week or so.

I see my parents once a week usually or every other week. I’d be happy with less and we don’t have bad relationship. Sometimes I see them more and sometimes less. It just depends on what we have going on.

I haven't seen my parents in 5 months. When I'm back in my home country I spend one weekend a month with them. I don't think I could be around them so often that going 4-5 days without seeing them is considered a long time. I love them dearly but I'm grown and have my own life now, and it doesn't revolve around them.

Are you by chance an only child? only reason I ask is because my parents and I are like this as well, except I see them about 3 times a week. I’m an only child so it’s kinda expected to be this close with the parents.

I'm in another country and haven't seen my parents in almost a year. Got to visit last year with the baby but before that it had been close to 2 years. It's hard and it seems  like you and your family is super close. 5 days may not be a lot and I am sure yall will be fine but if it does help maybe try to Skype or FaceTime them. That's how we "get together" in our house now.
