am i the only woman who doesn’t care about valentine’s day?!

all of my family and friends are nagging on me for not wanting to do anything with my boyfriend tonight. we’ve been together for four years, it’s just not exciting anymore! we’ve also NEVER made a big deal about valentine’s day.

We wait until the 17th to get the discounted prices on sweets 😂 We show our love for each other all year, we don't need to buy overpriced sweets to prove it. We'll get some for ourselves but the rest we donate to different places, lately we've been donating to the family homeless shelters and women's shelters.

I feel like it's a commercial holiday, and sadly the women who are so overly upset about it probably look forward to it as a day where they can expect something great from their man because they aren't getting that throughout the year. My husband celebrates me all the time with special dinners and dates ao it's just another day for us. But he did offer to make shrimp scampi for dinner which is my favorite, so I guess that's our "celebration"
