my sister in law tested positive for covid a month or so ago, she recovered and done 7 days isolation, fast forward to today, her sister that she lives with has tested positive but she is saying she doesn’t have to re isolate as she’s already done 7 days isolation a month ago… is this true?

She’s be exposed, period. She can’t be certain that she couldn’t pass it to others.

Depends what the rules are where you are. If that happened where I am she would have to get a test done and have to isolate until she has the results, which take 24-48 hours and if she is negative she doesnt need to isolate.

I’d check with local health dept - where I am if you’ve had a positive test in the last 90 days then you don’t have to reisolate.

Depends where you live and what the rules are there.
My husbands work says they have to self isolate for 5 days if they have symptoms even if the test is negative. But my mother in laws work says if someone else in your house tests positive you only have to self isolate if you have symptoms.

Lol I don’t have advice but I have to ask if anyone else thinks it’s crazy that the average answer is some variation of “it depends where you live” 😂😂 like.. is science on transmissibility etc different based on geography or what? This whole thing is just crazy to me.. Idk. I said I didn’t have any advice but just in general really unless you just tested pos and are waiting for symptoms to set if you feel 100% just go about your life. And if you don’t feel good but test negative also stay home, if people are sick/symptomatic with anything they should be responsible adults and just stay home. Crazy how complicated this messaging all is right now.. but yeah trust the science 😅

This depends where you are. I mean in my country now you don't even have to isolate if you're COVID positive but with no symptoms.
