A bit of background info....
1) We have been together for 8 and a half years and I'm trying to get clean but he doesn't seem to want to help me get clean.
2) He's the person I get it through and that makes him not just toxic and bad for my recovery but it also makes him my enabler.

Clean from what?? 
My birth mom was a drug addict and she only did well when she was away from my birth father. The longest she was at her best was when they were apart but he wiggled back into her life and got her addicted again. It was HARDCORE drugs though (meth and whatever else she could get her hands on)

You know the answer is yes, leave him. You really don’t need a poll. It doesn’t mean you can’t have sad feelings about it, but you KNOW what you need to do,.. and honestly he shouldn’t be surprised either

In my opinion if y’all together for 8+ yrs and there still isn’t a ring then there’s nothing to keep adding time for. And he’s not trying to help you get better. Seems like he’s holding you back to me.
