How often are you having ultrasounds?

This is my second pregnancy  and in my first one she used to do ultrasound  every 4 weeks so I got one 8...12...16...20.... etc, but my new Dr (im in a new state also) I saw baby at 10 weeks and now the next one will be at 20 weeks 😭 I'm 12 w currently.  I'm having  high blood pressure  in this pregnancy  and a large subchorionic  hemorrhage,  so she said I will be induced early because I'm high risk, so the point ...not enough ultrasounds!!! Hahaha

Not sure if it’s different in Canada but we get one at 8 weeks, then 12 weeks for genetic testing and then one at 20 weeks for gender and looking at all the body functions to make sure everything is good. Then maybe one more if your measuring too large to estimate baby’s size.

I’ve had one at 7, almost 11, and 13 weeks this time. They do ultrasounds to read the heart tones at my current provider’s office instead of the Doppler for quite some time. With my first, I only had 3 ultrasounds the whole time, and opted for a volunteer one at the local university for their sonography program so I could get an extra one for free, lol.

I have a Subchorionic hematoma I’ve been about once a week due to bleeding and I was already high risk I also have hyperemisis gravidarum and a history of preeclampsia safe to say I’ve been miserable and I’m ok with it as long as my baby keeps getting stronger this week I have an appt with both my ob and maternal fetal medicine sure it’s nice to see my baby every week but it’s also stressful each week I spend worrying if baby will still be okay takes some of the joy away I’d be happier waiting between ultrasounds being at peace that I didn’t have anything to worry about I just want a normal healthy pregnancy

My 1st OB with 3 of our girls just did the 20 week one, and that was all. I had one done around 6 weeks because I had irregular cycles and had to be dated! I also requested the NT scan around 12 weeks, but that wasn’t standard for her.  My OB/practice (a major hospital) does a dating scan, the NT scan, and 20 week scan. I’ll probably have a bunch towards the end to monitor fluid and baby size though.

I'm honestly jealous of all you that have had such frequent ultrasounds. I had one at 8 weeks when I was bleeding and they used that one as my dating ultrasound.  My next one i dont even have a date for yet but will be around 20 weeks. I haven't even seen a doctor since I was in emergency.

My dr only does ultrasounds at 8, 12 & 20 weeks. Also high risk for severe HG and high blood pressure. I’m on weekly appointments though and they check babies heart beat every appointment.

Girl, same! I had a lot of ultrasounds with my first. Moved to a new state and here they are saying only the 8 week one and then the 20 week anatomy scan! This doesn’t seem enough to me!!!!! I’m 11+4, how am I supposed to make it til 20 weeks with my anxiety like this?!

With my first I only had one. At 20 weeks. Healthy as can be.
