Any UK single mamas here and not working?

So I've been going through sooooo much shit in my life that I decided to take a break, haven't left the job yet, but I'm gonna do it probably soon, I'm claiming universal credit, child benefits and kid's dad sends me 150 a month. How much money would I lose if I decided to take a break from work? Would I be able to claim New style job seekers allowance? How much would that help me? My rent is 625, I have 2 kids, would I lose a lot of money I'd I quit?

Depends on the age of your children?
You would most likely be put on universal credit and they would take any money you have coming in and then work out what they would give you! However, if your youngest child is over the age of 5 you will most definitely face issues with ‘not working’. They will expect you to be looking for work and you will be expected to meet a work coach often. 
Also if child is over 5 and you choose to leave a paid job they would want an explanation as to why and could pose sanctions on any future payments
