Clingy toddler

My baby girl is so clingy. She's 20 months old. And I'm so stressed out from it. I love her but I can't do anything. I stay home with them.

Even if I just step into the kitchen to make coffee, she stands at the gate screaming at me, full-blown hysterical crying. I'm not even out of sight! She can see me the whole time. She just screams telling me "let me oooooout!"

I don't know what to do anymore. My son was never this way (he's 3 now).

Any suggestions?
