My cat has worms and I have a baby.. help

Hi. I have a 3yr old cat and a 9mo old baby.

My cat likes the get out of the house often to explore outside but she doesn’t stay out longer than 5mins. She’s spayed and gets seen yearly by a vet but I recently took note of her behavior and feces. She has worms… she’s never had the before and I’m freaking out. Mostly for my son because He’s my priority of course. I don’t know what to do. We bought tapeworm mediation for her but she’s refusing to eat it and I’m waiting till my husband returns to give it to her. What can I do in the mean time. She’s been leaving small droppings of worm sacs please help any suggestions are welcomed
