Advice??

Question

My baby (15 months) recently started buckling herself into her car seat. I’m worried she may start learning to unbuckle it before I can fully explain to her why she can’t. Any advice on helping her keep from learning that? Or devices that make it so they can’t unbuckle themselves? Thanks!!

That red button is pretty dang hard to press. I doubt she will unbuckle herself at her age.

My first was close to 3 when she was able to unbuckle the chest strap. She did it once while I was driving and I told her not to do that because she could get hurt really really bad with lots of blood and lots of pain. That worked for her. She’s 5 and can’t do the bottom button yet. My second is almost 3 and is getting close to undoing the chest buckle. I hope the threat of serious harm works for him too but we’ll see.
