Do you give a gift to the bridesmaids and groomsmen at the wedding or do it before with the invites

Wedding is in November and I have my list of bridesmaids and groomsmen. I was invited to be a bridesmaid with a cute little box that had a little bottle of champagne, goodies etc. should I do the same for mine? I’ve heard to just give something small as a gift after the ceremony instead. Or is this outdated now?

We gave gifts to the bridesmaids and groomsmen the day before the wedding at our rehearsal dinner.

We gave ours at the rehearsal dinner. When we asked them to be in the wedding party, I did it with a puzzle (made myself) and my husband did it via video.

I sent my bridesmaids a cute letter invite and a bracelet. My hubby just called his guys. At our rehearsal dinner we gave gifts before dinner. The girls got matching robes (as well as moms), bath and body works mini hand sanitizers and a their favorite chocolate. The guys (groomsmen and our fathers) got personalized axes with their name and our wedding date on it, that said from us. I also gave my hubby an axe that said “I love you more” with our date from me.

Some people do it while asking them to be in the bridal party, some give gifts on the day of the ceremony, and I’m sure some just don’t do it at all. Whatever you gift, don’t do anything with “bridesmaid” or anything personalized to do with your wedding. That renders the gift absolutely useless imo.
