Does anyone else’s SO hide pregnancy?

My SO feels the need to not tell anyone about pregnancy, don’t hint that we’re trying and to never ever speak about pregnancy between us. We’re 24 years old, have stable careers and a house of our own. I understand waiting until we’re out of the “safe” period, but I’ve tried to explain there is not safe period. He just seems so humiliated on the topic of pregnancy for us. He claims he doesn’t want people knowing his business, but I don’t plan on telling anyone until I’m 8 weeks. I get an early ultrasound because we miscarried a year ago. I don’t feel like it’s fair to hide a pregnancy just because it might end up in a miscarriage :(
