I'm sitting there in shorts with my partner. Playing with our 2 year old whilst he cuddles our 3 months old to sleep. 
He randomly said "you've got bruises on your legs"... I said "oh I probably knocked them I'm so clumsy".
He THEN SAID: " this is the biggest I've ever seen you "... like bitch what??? We wasn't even talking about weight, I wasn't asking for his opinion. I'm just a bit annoyed that he said that randomly. Like hold on a minute I gave birth 3 months ago. What the fuck do you expect 🙄 I was so slim as soon as I gave birth due to bad sickness in pregnancy. Majority of people would put on weight after not being able to keep foods down for such a long time. Would this have pissed you off??

Im petty and wouldve said … this the biggest ive seen u… I birth two humans… one only 12 weeks ago after carrying it in my body almost a year and even now he leeches on to my breast and wakes me up every few hours. WHATS your excuse????

I'd definitely be upset and feel self conscious after. Definitely not appropriate to say to someone who's recently had a baby or even ever. I'd let him know how much it hurt you and hopefully he'll be sorry and not say anything in the future.

Not really. I obviously wasn’t there for your conversation but if my partner said that it would just be a random observation. I’m 500% sure that I was indeed at my biggest 3 months after having our second, and I’m pretty sure he mentioned it once, but it was just an observation. My partner wasn’t trying to insult me or make me feel bad or say I needed to workout, he was just noticing for the first time in 3 whole months that I was bigger than before. But it’s been made clear in our 13 years together that I don’t care what he thinks of my body and I’m comfortable with him making any comments about it.

I feel like this was probably an intrusive thought that he let come out. He's going to notice you're leaking and while it's a very inappropriate to comment on it he might have felt that you guys were comfortable like that. I speak to my husband about wait quite frequently and he speaks to me about weight because we only want what's best for each other and while I do think that it probably wasn't the best moment nor the right way to go about it he probably didn't think before he said it

This would be unacceptable in my marriage, we do not comment on each other’s bodies at all unless it is to compliment it. You can not expect your partner’s body to remain the same throughout your entire life. Everyone’s weight fluctuates as they age. I am sorry he said that to you.
