If you breastfed… when starting to wean what feed did you drop first?

My LO is about to be a year old and I think it’s time for our BF journey to end. Just curious how other mamas went about weaning and what feed you dropped first? Also did you replace with a snack??

For us it was easiest to drop the lunch/mid day feedings first as it could be replaced by lunch.

Not sure how many feed you have left now? I think at one year we were doing morning, before both naps and bedtime…. We dropped the nap feeds first which was a lot easier than anticipated. Then we dropped morning (which was harder on me than her haha), and bedtime last.

I was still nursing 7-8 times a day with my first, so I dropped the least important feed to her first, the mid-morning one. I did replace with a mini-meal. Then I dropped the dinnertime feed and replaced with dinner. After that I dropped her after nap feed, then morning feed, then before nap, and finally the bedtime. Each baby varies though on which feeds are most important to them.
