Friends and relationships

I’m feeling bad because my one friend hasn’t met my boyfriend yet and I’ve been going out with him for 3 years. Granite we started dating during Covid so when we went on dates he wasn’t meeting any of my friends. And he lived 45 minutes away from me so I would drive to see him on weekends since there was more to do around him since we didn’t live together at the time and on weeknights he would drive to me and we would have dinner together then he would drive home.

So I didn’t get a chance to introduce him. He HAS met some of my other friends as they have come over my house and he was there so that’s good. But everytime my friends or friend would visit he feels like he just needs to leave and will make sure he’s gone when they come over but I WANT him to stay to meet them as they are a big part of my life.

I actually told him the next time my one friend comes over if he can just stay for a little and meet them as they are interested in meeting and then he can leave.

Now we live together in a house and we are ALMOST done projects on the kitchen and I’m definelty having her over so she can meet him and hangout/see the house. (She actually recently moved closer to me) I just feel bad!

I just wish I had a big large group of friends where we all mingled and we’re friends and his friends were friends with my friends. I tried to have a big gathering on New Years eve but of course that went down the drain because Covid spiked and a large majority of his friends and my friends got it. Anyway…..is you SO really close with your friends? Idk why but I’ve always wanted this but I guess this is what happens when you date someone out of your town
