Confused

I’ve been dating this amazing nice guy for the past 6 months. Things are good and we get along pretty well. He says he wants to be with me,marry me and all and I’d love nothing more than that to happen. I have one problem though,he rarely says he loves me. I ended up asking him one day why he doesn’t say it often and he responded saying that’s not the kinda person he is and he only says it when he is “feeling it” at the time. So I’m not sure what this means or how I should feel about it.

Is it a bad thing ?🥺
