Am I overreacting?

I am moving into an apartment with my boyfriend for the first time. He has high school graduation pictures with his ex girlfriend and wants to bring them to our new apartment. I don’t want him to but he says it’s not a big deal. Am I overreacting for not wanting pictures of him and his ex girlfriend in our new home together???

I mean its a prt of his life and his pst. Its not like its just pics of them hanging out. Its picture of a momentus event that took place in his life and he just so happen to be in a relationship. I dont see that as a big deal but can understand not really wanting it openly displayed in your home. But he was a teen, its the past, and prt of having a healthy relationship is making peace with your prtners pst and making room for them to be comfortable in your present life. It would seem a bit farfetched maybe if they were always hanging out and texting and crossing boundaries… but its just a photo of a special moment in life so its no big deal. Hes probably in cap and gown as well. Unless they are full on kissing its not a big deal

Yes you are overreacting in my opinion as it’s a part of his life that he wants to remember! I have pictures of my graduation in my house with my ex and other life events! I am with my fiancé 11 years he has pictures of his graduation with his ex it don’t bother me one bit!

If it was a group picture I’d be fine with it I think. If it’s just them and he just wants to keep them in like the closet with other milestone pictures that’s fine too, but if he wants to like hang it up I’d be like no thanks I don’t wanna look at your ex’s face everyday?

Maybe you should talk to him about how they make you feel. I wouldn’t be comfortable with it either. I’m sure he loves you and will understand how you feel😁
