IUI vs app vs ovulation kits

Help…

Last month the app said I was due to ovulate on the 17th day of my cycle. We wanted to do an IUI and the dr said in order to do that- they have you come in for a follicle scan on the 12th day. So I went day 12. Low and behold I ovulated that very day, Had the IUI the next morning. (I have to say that we did get pregnant last year on the first try using the app so I was surprised by the timing)

No dice. So this month, I went in on the 13th day (Monday) and was “nowhere near ovulating”. The dr said “likely Friday/Saturday”. The app says today/tomorrow are peak ovulation days. ovulation kit also says no that’s not true.

Who/what do I believe?

We are early 40’s, busy ….and not in a place anymore where having sex 5days in a row is thing. Embarrassing as that is to say it’s also true 🙃

This is our second month trying after our loss last year. My heart really goes out to women who have had to keep up this sort of emotional / mental effort for years. Peeing on sticks, app checking…waiting for your period. Wow. Just wow

Wish us luck & thanks for any input
