What should he do?
So my husband works at a well known tire shot. It’s basically national. Or at least in the u.s. he has two spots until he is a store manager. But the pay even at the next spot is under 20 a hour. Which is under what we actually need to get by. However he is the companies cash cow. So much to where the store manager is getting his boss to try to talk him out of leaving. He sells over 200,000 dollars worth of tires a month Everyone else is in the 60,000- 80,000 a month. He has only been doing this about 6 months but been working for the company for 2 years total. The job offers he has been offered is literally offering him 1500 a week and up highest offer we got was 3,000 a week. Right now he isn’t even making 700 a week which makes him have to work a second job while we have a new born. Tomorrow he is going to still have the meeting but if they say anything under at least a 5 dollar raise he isn’t doing it. Has anyone had any experience with this type of situation? This is the second time he wants to leave the company and their second attempt to talk him out of it…
