GPS trackers on young children for safety

Would you use a GPS tracking watch/tag on your child? My daughter this going to kindergarten this fall and with all of the shootings and crazy people out there I’d like some way to communicate back and forth if necessary. She is not ready for a phone.

I know that hackers can sometimes break the system but if I spend money and get a nice one, it’ll be harder.

If you would do this, what brand would you choose?

Trying to get a feel in whether or not this is something many people do.
