hanging out with gay friend and bf mad about it tf ?

so i never hang out with literally anyone besides my bf. we used to double date with my bff but that ship has sailed after a dumb argument. so my ex coworker gay guy hit me up and we made plans after a few weeks to catch up have a drink and some sushi tomorrow. i happily tell my bf and he freaks the fuck out 😳 like he starts asking if he’s really gay? i show screenshots of our texts and his ig for proof? and then he still gets mad and says i guess i’ll hang out with girls then! and i’m like what. i fall asleep for two hours and wake up to him cussing me out and he never usually does that. i just said dont talk to me like that and did not engage. his last text after his spiel was i love you with broken heart emoji.

idk man. am i wrong for hanging out with a friend?! i don’t get it. we been together almost a year and i never hang with anyone else... i talk to a few close friends but they’re busy or in a different state so i don’t get to see them... this is the first time in our rel i will hang with someone else. what can i do to tell him this isn’t right? i just stopped replying but this sucks. i hate not communicating but he was crossing lines :( help??? how do i word it...
