How old did your babe when you started BLW?

Question

What are point of reminders you can share? Is it true that you can start BLW as late as 9 months because of baby’s gut not fully develop yet. That’s why they only eat a little?

I started at 6m as my daughter met all signs of readiness. My daughter is doing fantastic with BLW!
It is best to have baby fully off puree/ baby food only by 8-9 months (if that’s the route you take). 
It is best to start bring babe to the table at every meal as early as you can. Watching y’all eat and learning that routine is very beneficial!
Food before 1 is just for fun and practice. So there is no to stress about how much babe swallows. 
The first 2 months is mostly touching, dropping, spitting, gnawing, and everything but swallowing food! It’s wonderful practice! Don’t be afraid of mess!

We’ve done it at 6m with both babies. My youngest is 9m now and still only has 2 teeth. He is a rockstar though! He had his first steak last week. He loved gnawing on the bones 😂

My second started when she was 6 months. My third started at 7 months.

Mine were ready by 6 months so we started then. Things may not fully digest at first but that doesn't stop them from eating or enjoying food. Mine actually ate pretty quick and we would definitely see little chunks of what they ate in their poop. No need to delay though.
