Helix healing

I got my upper lobe and helix pierced at the same time about two weeks ago, on the other ear only by upper lobe.

My lobes cause no pain at all, feel like they've healed nicely but still got 4 more weeks till I can change them.

My helix on the other hand kills! A slight touch and my ear throbs just in that area for like 10 minutes, its so painful, it also doesn't help that my two kids keep accidentally knocking it.

I clean it everyday with some hot salty water and a q tip then spin them around to avoid them getting stuck.

But is this pain normal for a helix?
