Hosting 2 parties, a month apart?

My husband and I are moving into our first house in a couple weeks! We are both excited to start hosting gatherings. He really wants to do a Halloween party this year, so obviously October. We plan on having a house warming party and it seems to make the most sense to do that mid-late September. Would it be weird to host 2 parties basically back to back like that?

Both parties would be all the same people. Both our families and then a few close friends.

Maybe I'm overthinking this, but we have never been able to host anything before, being in our apartment, so I guess I just don't know.
