Sooner would of been better.

As kid growing up I had issues with my legs and my hips, yet my parents didn’t notice nor did I because there was no pain. I started noticing it around my middle school track years when my knees were giving out when running and my hips were hurting. I told my mom, but by that time she though I was just complaining to complain because I alway cried Wolf and that was probably due to emotional trauma growing up. So I push through the pain no matter how wobbly I was or how many times my knees gave out. Looking back even further though there were signs something was wrong with my legs. I would alway walk or run sideways leaning to the right more or in gym class not be able to get my knees to match on the butterfly stretch. I didn’t realize how bad of an issue it was until after the birth to a child, where my hips and legs deteriorated more. Three years after dealing with the pain, I finally went to a physical therapist today and she said my stance is completely off, I’m lean more on my right then on my left making me off balance. I talk to her asking if my left leg is longer then my right and that could possibly be contributing to the problem and she said possibly. I currently going to work on relaxing my muscle and loosening everything up in my left hip, before working on it. I going to talk to my physical therapist about getting leg measurements done. I guess the overall reason I’m sharing my story is please take notice of your child’s stance and how they walk, or if your teen says their legs or hips hurt when they run. Take them to go get checked it could lead to a more serious issue down the road.
