28 still not engaged

Where would you want to be in your relationship at 28? I know many factors come to play but I’d love your take on what you’d feel you’d like to accomplish by then relationship wise.

I’m 28 and in love with my 29 year old boyfriend. Although within the 6 years we’ve been together, we’ve never lived together before, I have high hopes that our relationship will go to the next level.

There are times I question if he’ll ever propose to me anytime soon. It’s hard as our my friends get married and I’m always just the bridesmaid watching. My love for him still holds strong. I was hoping we’d be at that stage by now but I guess I have to be patient? I have approached the conversation before and his response was “her never said he didn’t want to get married” so I took that as a sign to stay patient.

Next year he’ll be 30 still living at his grandparents house while I’m still living with my parents. Something feels sad about this but I love him.
